How long before a stork bite fades/does it fade completely?

Wondering if anyone's LO has/had a stork bite, and if it ever goes/went away?

  • Like from a bird? A real live bird?

  • No... :P It's a sort of birth mark, it's reddish... My son has it on his forehead... I THINK it's faded a little, but I'm not sure, maybe I've just gotten used to it...

  • A friend's daughter still had a mark on her face until she was 8-9 months old... it was right between her eyes. It disappeared practically overnight.

  • my daughter has one too and they told me around a year or so it should fade. it has already faded considerably and she is nine months but when she gets mad or cries it gets more red.
