PCOS and taking Provera to get a period.

Hi. I have PCOS and lately haven't been getting a cycle so I take Provera on the first of every month for 10 days to get a period. Do I ovulate, even though my body isn't doing it on it's own or am I just having a period? Probably something I should have asked the Dr, but I didn't think about it.

  • If your not having a period on your own, its just making you have one to get your body used to it. He didnt give you Clomid or anything else to take?

  • From what I understand once you take the prover to induce a period if you dont have one on your own the next month your either pregnant or you didnt ovulate.
