should i see a doctor?

I'm 26 yrs. old and i've never had this to happen to me before, but i was just sitting here and my left hand started going numb and tingling. I just thought it was asleep, but then it got really weak and i could bearly use it. it almost felt like it wasn't my hand, like i was trying to control someone elses hand. anyone know why this happened?
