  • All the reports I have read say they are two very different things, they have common symptoms which is why many times a child will be dx autistic when it is mercury. IMO they are not the same thing based on the research i have done.

  • YES! Very few doctors know the difference or label it as it really should be. It is because the parents want the autism services to get the kids back to where they were socially before the vaccines and insurance doesn't cover those services if the kid is labeled as vaccine injured so the doctor lies for them.

  • From what I have read, the two are often diagnosed the same -- as Autism. It's been said, and I wish I could find the article again, that if treatment helps the autism, then it was probably mercury posioning. (such as change a change in diet)

  • Since there isn't any mercury in vaccines anymore, I'd say this question is moot.

  • There is still mercury in certain vaccines. Plus there are other heavy metals in there and mercury poisoning is the same as heavy metal poisoning basically.

  • Any mom suspicious of this could get a simple blood test done, as mercury levels are easily detected with a small blood sample...and then she could know for sure.
