Informal poll, which tax software/website do you use?

Just wondering what you used this year to file your taxes. I just went through H&R Block, but it was too complicated, wouldn't let me get past certain sections because it wouldn't accept things as not being applicable, so going to try again later with another site, probably Turbo Tax. What is your preference?

  • I do mine on turbo tax to ask questions and as a guide, then i use onlinetaxes.com it only cost me $15 total for both federal and state. I used to have our family accountant do it but then we moved so i always did them myself. Now that we itemize I like having the program on the computer so i can find things i may have missed otherwise.

I may check out tax act now sabrina lol, I always like a few hundred extra :)

  • I used Turbo Tax too (which gave me the same result as the one for H&R Block). Wow, I didn't know TaxAct would do that and I've used them in the past. Too late now, I've already filed. I'll do that next year, use a couple different types of software and compare.
