  • We rent a house off my grandmother. We pay rent and the garbage... When I had an apartment it was always included - but so were the rest of the utilities.

  • I have never rented but I would think that garbage would be included in the rent for apartments and town homes whereas single family non attached homes I would think that you would pay for your own trash pick up.

  • Depends on the place. Check your lease.

  • If it's in the contract it's not illegal. Some places pay for it, some don't.
