Tmi about my "afterbirth" blood...

I had my daughter 3 weeks ago, almost 4. Still bleeding, although it has been very light flow and brownish for about a week and a half now. Today, I passed a little bit of what looked like placenta stuff, it probably wasn't but that's the only way I can explain what it looked like. I had a c-section so there's no way he could've left anything in there that wasn't suppose to be. It wasn't a clot, I've passed those and know quite well what they look like. Is this normal?

  • Are you feverish? have chills? does your discharge have a bad smell? are you bleeding a LOT? like more than a heavy pad an hour?
If you don't have any of those symptoms you are likely fine.

  • it could definitely be a clot - period clots and afterbirth clots are differnt.

but you should call the dr. to make sure its ok.
