very random

at the top of my right ring finger (about quarter inch below the finger nail) I have this random swollen spot on my finger, about the size of a pencil eraser, it doesnt hurt and it doesnt itch...its just red and swollen..I dont understand what it is? should I be concerned??
theres a teeny tiny skin colored flat bump in the middle of it

  • Kind of sounds like a writing bump.

  • Possibly a sebaceous cyst; a closed sac under the skin filled with a
    cheese-like or oily material. The main symptom is usually a small,
    non-painful lump beneath the skin.

    My dd had one on her foot as an infant; I put some calendula cream on it and covered it with a band aid; it was gone in a few days. A warm, moist compress is also listed as a treatment.
