  • Kind of sounds like a writing bump.

  • Possibly a sebaceous cyst; a closed sac under the skin filled with a
cheese-like or oily material. The main symptom is usually a small,
    non-painful lump beneath the skin.

My dd had one on her foot as an infant; I put some calendula cream on it and covered it with a band aid; it was gone in a few days. A warm, moist compress is also listed as a treatment.
