  • OK ignore the very unhelpful comments above! good grief, they are telling you to tell her to be a big girl and acting like this? WTF!

anyways, here's an actual helpful idea

have your child leave it for the Paci Fairy. then in the morning your child can wake up to a new toy.

the paci has been a comfort to your child for so long, it is very cruel to just take it away and "deal with screaming" at this point.

  • Take it away and throw all of them in the garbage, and that is that 4 is way too old to have a pacifier it is super bad for their teeth. Also 4 is old enough to understand that they are not to throw fits about it as well.

  • She is 4 she is old enough to have consequences for that behavior, take it away and throw it away, and if she throws a fit put her in time out.

  • deal with the screaming and TAKE IT AWAY!!

its because you'd rather have her suck on that thing to 'shut her up' that you have created a little monster. biting you in the ass isn't it?

THROW THE STUPID THING IN THE GARBAGE AND TEACH HER TO BE A BIG GIRL

  • wow thats a tad old for a paci....honestly children are rather resilient so just take it away...nuff said.....she throws a tantrum, then she gets the consequences for acting that way.

  • OMG seriously what kind of a parent allows their 4 year old to get away with that sort of tantrum behavior? That is irresponsible on your half, a 4 year old is plenty old to understand that she is too old for a pacifier, and if she throws a tantrum you punish that behavior it is not acceptable, you are teaching her that hitting, biting, screaming and stripping are ways to get what you want and that is an irresponsible lesson to teach ANY child. The problem isn't her it is YOU.
