Stay at home moms..
How many hours do you actually just sit and play with your children? Or interact and completly focus on just them?
I have friends who think since I'm a stay at home mom, I am ALWAYS just sitting around playing with the kids or watching tv or out shopping, true I do alot of those but theres more to it. I pay bills, I teach the kids (or try to a little everyday), we have playdates, they have dr appts..i have dr appts. Anyways, I was just wondering ..how much time do you really play or interact with your children while at home all day with them? My goal for every day is to spend two WHOLE hours of just me and them time (not including meals). Ill do my cleaning or pay bills and then spend an hour with them reading or playing blocks..then ill do whatever else needs to be done or well run errands & then we'll come home and spend another hours JUST for them. No computer,no phone..just them.
Just wondering what other mamas do:)

OP: while i'm doing my other stuff i need to do, they're playing with each other and running around , around me. And inbetween doing whatever i'm doing that day, i will stop and play pretend with them and then get up and carry on what i was doing. just TWO solid "Kids only" hours is what i try to do everyday.Found an answer to your question?

I really don't keep track of the time but expecially in the summer , I take the whole day & either swim in our pool or take them somewhere & we have the whole day just being together. It's not the quanity but the quality time that countsFound an answer to your question?

My week varies. I work part time, so usually no computer, CM on those days. We play outside alot and have picnics so outside time can be up to four hours straight. I do errands, library. So alot.

well i make phone calls
do research
work
laundry
clean the house
prepare food
when my son comes home from schoool
we chat
he has a snack
and then he has in home therapy for 3 hours
i read him a book
tuck him in

i dont focus on the amt of time, but I spend a lot of time one on one with my son! we play with puzzles, color, shape sorters or play with train toys together, I take him to the park all the time (weather permitting), and we go to a playgroup once a week, sometimes more. He enjoys keeping himself busy too, so while he plays with his trains or colors I get to read a magazine or do some chores, which he likes helping me with sometimesFound an answer to your question?

Thats a good question. I know I don't spent enough time with them.

a couple hours. I dont keep track. We usually get up and eat breakfast together, play a little. do some 'school'. He watches TV for about a half hour while I shower and get dressed. Eat lunch together. I usually do some house work, then when daddy gets home we eat, and we all 3 spend time together. Usually once they are both in bed I stay up and finish more housework.Found an answer to your question?

OP here: ( i left the first comment too, but i forgot to put the 'here' after op). I spend alot of random times with my sons to, i was just saying i spend at least 2 specific hours with them, for JUST them, so i know i got some good quality time in there. I just feel some days i don't spend enough time , but i know i will if i do the 'at least' two hours a day.Found an answer to your question?

most of the day my down time is while he takes a nap, he likes to have solo play though so thats when I get some cleaning done. But generally I spend the whole day playing reading goofing of with him. He's totally my BFF for ever! lol. I love being a mom if you cant tellFound an answer to your question?
