  • 1. I would have gotten lunch money
    2. I would have gotten CLOTHES - more than 3 crappy, embarrassing outfits per year....(Some years, NO clothes)
    3. My parents would have attended my basketball & volleyball games, choir/theatre performances, etc
    4. My mother would not have been so selfish and evil, and actually would have been nice once in a while
    5. My father would have worked more at being a father than at being a business owner
    6. Both my parents would have had hopes & dreams & goals for their children aside from quitting school & helping with their janitorial business.
    7. Actually, if I were to change ONE thing, it would have been that I had been adopted by loving, capable parents who adopted for the right reasons. (Instead, I was adopted because they were paid & my mother was mentally insane.)

  • i wish both my parents sat me down and gave me the drug talk and sex talk. Not that I became the next Maury show candidate LOL but if they talked to me about those things I would have felt they trusted me and cared about my well being more.

  • I would have liked to have both parents in good health. When I was 11, my father was diagnosed with a menigioma and had numerous brain surgeries and complications. Just as he was getting on his feet and back to work, we were hit with another whammy when my mother suffered a massive stroke at the age of 35. She had metastatic colon cancer and the cancer was in her liver messing with her clotting factors..So, to change it, I would like to have had both parents. My father became very abusive after his surgery. I think his frontal lobe was cut one too many times.

  • I wish my Father would have been more of a Father to me than to the bottle. I wish my Mom would have been more of a parent than a friend and stricker with me. I have found adult life to be quite challenging. All in all I really do Love both of my Parents.
