cooking wheat and regular pasta together?

I no longer have the box for the wheat pasta. Can I mix the two pastas in the pot? DO they cook at about the same speed? they are both elbows.

  • I've actually put them in the pot together at the same time, and they've come out okay. Usually wheat does take a little longer, so you may want to put it in a minute or two before the white, but I've done them at the same time without a problem. Good luck!

  • Wheat always seems to take a bit longer, but I'm not sure how much longer.

Can you google the company and see the instructions online?

  • I am not sure what you are asking. Most pastas are made from wheat...

  • Yeah, I've done them together before sometimes. Put the whole wheat ones in a minute or 2 before the regular b/c the wheat seems to usually take longer.

  • Actually, all pasta is wheat pasta unless it is made from another type of flour such as rice.
