Question regarding espresso

Can I make it in a regular coffeepot or do I need an actual espresso machine? If I can make it in a coffeepot, how would I do it? OR....as another option, can I just use instant espresso. I am needing it for tiramisu. Thanks!

  • I've never made espresso at home, but I know people that make really strong coffee at home for use in Tiramisu. I haven't had a chance to try making it myself yet, but I'm dying to.

  • If you don't have an espresso machine get a very dark roast and put a ton of it in with less water that will make an equivalent to espresso, you can always go to a coffee shop and buy a few shots of it for pretty cheap as well.
