does anyone know

what would cause poop to be very dark and sticky?

  • Yes...internal bleeding. Bleeding from your colon can cause to be black and tar-like, Then again, it could also be coloring from food, so idk.

  • if it is your newborns first poops... that is how it looks. there is also a poop decoder on similacs website that you can check out. if it is your poop... the darkness could be from iron supplements, certain foods, medications, or internal bleeding. not sure about the sticky part if you are referring to an adult poo though. good luck.

  • Dr OZ loves talking about poop. He talked about color and texture the other day. Dark is usually blood but go to his website and see what else it could be.
