Can I buy vitamins with food stamps for me and my son. For instance Vitamins that will grow my nails, and the gummy ones for my son.

  • No...that is not food....you can only buy food that you will be eating or seeds for a food garden.

  • Nope.

    You child can be prescribed vitamins if he actually needs them and Medicaid will pay for them , but you don't really need vitamins for your nails. I would consider that a waste of your food stamps if they did pay for them. Spend it on healthy food that will work just as well.
