Does an EBF baby need his teeth brushed?

My 8 month old has two teeth. He is EBF, should I still be brushing them?

  • yep. his mouth contains bacteria, regardless of whether he is bottle fed or breast fed.

through the process of nursing does not permit breast milk from pooling round his teeth (like formula does), they still need to be brushed. a little finger brush will be fine for now. it is also easier to brush their teeth in toddlerhood when they are accustomed to having it done as babies.
