Will wearing a seat belt hurt my baby if I'm in a car accident?

  • Not as much as it would hurt the baby if you went through the windshield because you weren't. (or into the steering wheel, etc)

  • Must likely depends all on the accident. But you are much better off wearing a seat belt.

  • once u start getting to be big, u should put the belt over the top of ur belly (so it rests between ur boobs and baby bump). but as said above, its much safer to wear the seat belt than to not wear it at all.

  • If you are wearing your seat belt properly you'll be fine. It should go across your lap, not your abdomen.

  • I agree with PP it goes across your lap, not stomach and not wearing one is worse.

  • I agree with pp. Choose, possible injury to baby or possible death for both. Besides...it is illegal to not wear one.
