Do you HAVE to wear a dress when going to a fine dining restaurant?

My husband and I are thinking about going to a higher end restaurant for Valentine's Day. I'm not one for dresses. Would it be "wrong" to wear black pants or something?

  • Smart slacks and a sexy top are almost always okay. Very few restaurants have a women in dresses dress code anymore.

  • Yea, you can. I'm not one for dresses either. I have a large collection of dressy catsuits with blazers for this reason.
