my 18 day old has a red bloody tiny thing on his stomach??i dont know what it is

it looks like it bleeding from the inside....does anyone have any idea what im talking about
?should i call the doctor?

  • How big is it? Look up hemangioma. :) My kids are prone to them. They go away on their own. Pleased be advised that if you look these up you will find some horrific pictures, but most are tiny, tiny things. :)

  • does it look like a mole? if so then it is a birth mark.

They may be absent at birth, and develop at several weeks. They usually grow rapidly, remain a fixed size, and then subside. In most cases, strawberry hemangiomas disappear by the time a child is 9 years old. Some slight discoloration or puckering of the skin may remain at the site of the hemangioma.

  • are they the size of a freckle? I have alot of those.. when my doctor checked me out he saw them & said nothing.. still I would ask his doctor.. just in case
