Raw carrot sticks (very thin)

When did you first feel comfortable letting your child eat raw carrot sticks. I want to give them as a snack, but I'm worried about choking. She is my first child, so I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to things like this. She has 4 molars and she is 19 months.

  • as long as she has molars she is fine- just do not leave her unattended.

most of what my kids eat for snacks is raw fruits/veggies, just cut them small enough for her to easily handle- another favorite from that age was frozen peas, my kids thought they were AWESOME!
