i'm canning strawberry jam...

i made the jam and canned it yesterday afternoon. the tops popped and i know they are okay, but the jam hasnt completely set. it is still a little liquidy. will it set over the next few days or did i do something wrong?

  • It may firm up, or you may not have added enough thickener, or didnt boil it long enough. Generally jam is loose, so untill you open a well set jar you wont know. When you do and it's too runny for you go back to your resipe and see how much thickener you put in for the recipe. Add more next time if it wasnt enough to get the consistency you wanted.
