  • The FIAT/SOLLERS project is in Naberezhnye Chelny, east of Moscow in the Republic of Tatarstan. A plant will be expanded and a supply park added. An engineering center will make adaptations to the global vehicles for the Russian market

  • So glad we spent money to bail out the auto industry so they have the money for a new joint venture! UGH! I know that in the trickle down of things- that jobs will be created to sell and repair those vehicles-but in today's economy the whole "its cheaper overseas" argument is lame- we have skilled people and infrastructure here and ready to work. I am not up to date on the recent workings of the UAW so maybe that is one reason why overseas is still attractive. Although I am not a big fan of govt oversight, if the UAW is still driving auto jobs out of the US- the govt should and could get involved to make our auto industry more viable. Since the govt is already involved in the auto industry, they should finish the job and make it sustainable here in the US.

  • I'm so glad we bailed out US car makers so they can create jobs in RUSSIA. Our "green" stimulus dollars are also creating jobs in GERMANY.

  • Yeah right ^^^^^^^^^ Just because you are a Republican or a Democrat does not mean "your guy" is going to do a better job. Our politicians are all in it for themselves and themselves only. Or the corporations lining their pockets and keeping them in office. We the people no longer apply.

  • Honda motors make their cars in the USA too. Mine came from the plant in an area down south right on Hwy #26. SO it is six of one and half a dozen of the other. Foreign cars bein assembled in the USA. USA cars being assembled in Russia. It is a big world and we are all part of it.

Hey, if you want a President who demeans, bashes, and ridicules that is ON YOU...  I, personally have higher standards. To be a common everyday frustrated voter voicing opinions is one thing.  To be the leader of the United States of America is another...  Well to some it is..  He is suppose to work FOR the American people.  That INCLUDES when he is pushing his bailout automaker (so the US can own 60% of a private corp) agendas, Stimulus will create jobs (in other nations) agenda, and his health care (will cater to unions who only make up 20% of the US workforce) agenda...
