TTC: how long did it take to get pregnant after going off BC?

  • I guess it depends on which bc and ur body. for my dh and I it took exactly six months after the iud was removed, but w/ going off of the pill it can happen much faster than that. Ur age is also a big determiner and also ur regularity in ur menstrual cycle. good luck if ur trying!

  • I was on the mirena and I concieved the DAY i had it removed. (hubby says he has "super sperm" lol)

  • about a year and a half...we werent actually trying though, i just stopped taking my birth control pills and we let nature take its course

  • I went off the mini-pill the day I started my period in May 09. In June, I got a BFP. DH equates his sperm to Michael Phelps now. lol

  • I took the Yaz for 1 1/2 years. I didn't really take it correctly though. I missed a pill here and there and never took the pills on my period week. Nor did I take it at the same time everyday. So whether it was actually in full effect, I don't know. But I got pregnant 2 months after quitting it.
