I have a dumb laundry question.....

This is my first time doing laundry because when I was growing up we had a maid that did most of that for us. Anyway, if you are washing clothes that are mostly cotton, what setting do you put the dryer on?

  • Yeah. Read the tag...Generally, you should dry on low heat for cotton. Make sure you're separating colors. All that good stuff.

  • Wait a minute, I'm supposed to separate the colors? Why?

  • You have to seperate the colors because red can turn anything & everything pink, dark stuff can dull whites & other light brights, etc. Here's what I seperate my laundry into - denims, non-denim darks, mediums, lights, reds/pinks, towels, undies/socks/washcloths. Frequently I also seperate the kids denims from the hubby's denims.
