When can I take a pregnancy test?

Okay so I thought you took an accurate pregnancy test 4-6 weeks after conception. But do they detect the raised hormone after a missed period or after 4-6 weeks? I mean if you conceve a week or two after your period then your only two to three weeks along by the time you miss a period, would the test be accurate? Just wondering. We never planned our other two very accuratly (just when ever it happened :)...)Thanks much!

  • you wont get an accurate test until after your missed period. Depending on what test you take, like clear blue, you can find out up to 5 days before the first day of your missed period. Any other type of at home test you have to take as soon as the day of your missed period, but if you go to the dr and get a blood test you can find out like 5 days after you conieve

  • The soonest you can take one is 5 days before your period but only the test that say that on the box . The only way to get results sooner then that is to go and have a blood test done
