No Sleep :-(

my daughter doesnt want to sleep.. she doesnt go to sleep till like 2 or 3 in the morning and wants to sleep till noon.. anybody have any idea's on how could get her to go to sleep early?

  • Put her in her room and tell her to stay in bed? Have a bedtime routine. Make it boring, keep the lights low or off, and then wake her up in the morning at a set time. If she's waking up earlier, she's more likely to be tired at an earlier bedtime. Just stay consistent.

  • You are going to have to start getting her up early. Up at 8 with LOTS of light -- if you're not getting much daylight (open all the windows because daylight is best), then turn on a bunch of lights, too. Start dimming all the lights in the house by about 7pm and start a consistent bedtime routine. Have her in bed by 8 would be the ideal.. If you don't want to switch straight over right away you can try modifying her schedule by an hour at a time. But a set schedule with a clear bedtime routine is key; so is consistent wake-up least to start. Her internal biological clock needs to be reset... light and absence of light help clear that up; as does consistency.
