I have recently moved my son from his bassonet to his crib and now he is waking up more in the night to eat! is it because of the change?

I am exhausted again!

  • The bassinet is smaller and cozy not to mention warmer. Once they move into a crib it's open aired and the warm & cozy environment is gone. It's probably more drafty too. That's usually why they start waking up again.

  • Get baby a wearable blanket or one of the fleece swaddlers.

Could be a growth spurt or teething too.

  • It could be or it could be a growth spurt, teething, temperature differences, etc. In the long run though...baby's who sleep in their own rooms tend to sleep better, deeper and longer so keep it up.

  • Be aware that sleep patterns change constantly in year one regardless of where baby is. It's normal because BABY is changing so much.

Exhaustion is pretty much a permanent state for mom in the first year. Baby is your "get out of everything" pass.
