Greasiness on Griddle and Skillet

I have areas on my electric griddle and electric skillet that will not come clean no matter how much I scrub them. It looks clean when wet, but after drying, there's these areas of greasiness that I just can't get rid of. I've used everything from Dawn to Clorox Clean-Up and nothing seems to work!

Am I the only one with this problem? How do YOU wash your electric griddle and/or skillet?

  • turn it on.
right on the hot surface put a tbsp or 2 of lemon juice, about 1 tbsp salt & some ice cubes.
scrub with one of those coarse green scrubby things (the name is escaping me right now)

the lemon breaks up the grease, the salt scrubs and the ice makes basically lubrication.

turn it off and once it's cool, wipe with a damp washcloth.
