how do i stop the cravings before bed?!?

i eat dinner around 4 or 5.. but when 9:00 rolls around, im STARVING. and it seems like im soo hungry that i don't care whether im eating healthy or not. how can i stop from being THAT hungry? what fills you up and keeps you full for a long period of time?

  • I do the same thing! I'm RAVENOUS at night! This won't sound like it will satisfy you but try eating some fruit, I either have pineapple or an apple with almond butter on it..even though what I REALLY want is a big juicy'll be surprised how filling fruit can be, give it a works for me;)

  • Do you eat regularly throughout the day? I also eat dinner before 5 most day and don't have a problem w/ evening hunger.

    Here are some suggestions.
    Start and end each day and each meal with a glass of water.
    Eat 5-6 times a day - smaller portions and healthy snacks like fruits, granola bars, trail mix, nuts, olives.

    Breakfast (oatmeal, cereal like Special K or Granola, or whole wheat toast or muffin)
    AM snack (piece of fruit or yogurt)
    Lunch (soup or salad)
    PM snack (same as AM)
    Dinner (baked or broiled meat, steamed or veggies sauteed in olive oil, not butter).
    Add after dinner HEALTHY snack if necessary ...but try water first. Shouldn't eat 2-3 hrs before bed, but should within an hour of waking.

  • Have a garden salad with light oil and vinegar after your dinner, at about 7. And drink tons of water.
