Waking up Dizzy at 34 weeks?

When I got back from taking my son to therapy I laid down for a few minutes to catch up on sleep. When I woke up I was so dizzy. It's been about 20 minutes and I am still dizzy. Should I be concerned? I have an appointment Friday morning and plan on mentioning this then. Is it something that needs to be addressed sooner?

  • 3 things to keep track of: blood sugar. blood pressure, hydration. You can get home monitors for sugar and pressure. Make sure you are drinking enough fluids.

  • Did you wake up on your back? At 34 weeks the baby puts enough pressure on your blood vessels that it can reduce blood flow, so if you were sleeping on your back that could be why.
