IS generic prenatal vitamins just as good as name brand prenatal vitamins?

  • nutritionally yes, but a lot of the vitamins are made in a sub par way and cause more nausea and vomiting because they aren't as well matched for a body.

    All of GNC's store brands are fantastic as far as vitamins go. I also like Natrol and Garden of Life pre-natals. They are all good quality.

    I wouldn't ever purchase a walmart or walgreens generic, nor would I purchase "one a days" or "flinstones" vitamins. Most of the chewables have added sugar, or worse sugar substitute. Most are also processed and use cheap forms that are not easily absorbed by your body.

  • If you have a CVS I read in Parents magazine that they have excellent absorption and are of high quality. Although they might just be a sponser of Parents magazine....but there were other brands.
