Should I be worried? What should I do?

Almost 4 month old son sounds like he has flem stuck in his throat? Any way to get it out? I'm scared he'll choke or something.

  • Why don't you call pediatrician, he could say take him to e r or urgent care, if doc tells you that then you're following doctors orders and if you have a tough insurance with e r or urgent care rules you might have luck getting visit covered.

Can you get saline nose delivered or a neighbor or partner someone pick up for you? Ayr, NaSal, Little Noses plus now Tylenol has saline nose spray. Make sure they're saline sprays, I found the drops plopped large amounts into my kids nose, spray covered more area and didn't cause choking on it.

Do you have a nasal bulb - als vaseline if nose isn't raw yet? You can dab a bit of vaseline or chapstick on baby's lips to help them stay moist.

Just give doc a call or take to e r, he's so little still.

  • Also - I don't have a humidifier.

  • Sit with him holding him more upright in a steamed but not HOT bathroom WITH the water running. Steam could help loosen his yuck.

Poor baby does he have a temp? Under his arm is a degree or two cooler than in his bottom.

If he's not nursing well definitely for several hours I'd take him to urgent care. It can settle easy in chest, want to try to avoid that.
