With my first it was 16 hours.

  • well I went into the hospital at 11pm, but absolutely NOTHING happened, so they had to break my water at 9am, and out he came at 3:16pm, so I don't really count it til 9, so 6 hours

  • 5 hours, but I expect it really was a day or two of early painless labor before that. I birthed at home, had no vaginal exams and my water broke when it was ready.

  • from when the contractions were 2min apart to the baby being born mine were-they broke my water each time
8 hours for my 11yrold I was crowning (but not dilating) for 2 weeks before she was born * painful* 5 hours pushing
9 hours for my 7 yr old 7 hours of pushing ( lots of false labor)
6hours of labor before I was given a emergency section with my 3yr old (3 hours of pushing)
with my 8 month old I started going into labor the same day as his planned c section so I had about two hours of labor & no pushing.

  • I wasn't in "active" labor for 30 hours. My contractions started at 8:30am and even though they were a half hour apart, they were regular. They became 8 minutes a part at midnight, then 3-5 minutes apart by 1:30am and my son was born at 1:37PM. He really did take his time
