Calling for a senator to be hanged is acceptable?

Woman with the Lewis and Clark Tea Party Patriots called for Senator Patrick Murray to be hanged to the applause of the crowd.

Does this help or hurt our country and the political landscape?

In light of recent violent actions taken by some that are disgruntled with our politicians and or politics in general Is this acceptable?

  • And this is the group who claims to "want their country back"? Hell no--you can't have it!

  • This isn't the way to take back our country. I really wish she had not said that. Things of that nature show a lack of class.

  • Dianne Capps of Clarkston admitted Thursday night that she made the remark about Sen. Patty Murray, but said it was taken out of context. She says she meant that Murray should be voted out of office in November.

Well, if Napolitano can say that her comment about the system working right (the same system that let a man they KNEW was on a watch list) was taken out of context, then I will afford this person the same allowance.  She didn't mean literally hanged, she meant voted out.  Bad choice of words.  It might be different if she had pictures of him hanging or effegies of him hanging.

  • LOL You must have never watched Lonesome Dove. Jake was hung because he claimed to be doing nothing wrong while hanging with those who were murdering people. So his own friends called him out on it and told him that you associate with these people you will die with these people. Now in what context did the person say it? Tone is very important. I am sure they were using it in a metaphoric way. Not saying a literal hanging but what happened to Jake (being called out and punished) should happen to Murray. you associate with these people you will die with these people = you continue to hang with the ones effin this country up you will be booted with them. Now if this person openly admits they were being literal then they should be punished for being absolutely ignorant.

  • It was suggested recently that Obama break some kneecaps to get his way. Were you outraged then?

It would be nice if some people actually learned some comprehension. Our schools have really failed us when people can't get a basic metaphor...especially when the speaker lays it out for them.
