  • Growing up we always just combined mayo, relish, a small squirt of mustard and a tiny splash of lemon juice... That can't be right but it tasted good to us! =)

  • When we make it, we use mayo, relish, and ketchup. I don't eat it but the family loves it.

  • Mine is usually mayo, onion powder, pickle relish and a dash of lemon juice. I don't measure anything, I eyeball it and taste it.

  • Homemade Tartar Sauce
    1 cup Real Mayonaise
    1 Tablespoon Sweet Relish
    1 Tablespoon Finely Diced Onion
    2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
Mix together about an hour before using, store in fridge until you are ready to eat.
If you aren't fond of sweet relish you can always substitute with finely chopped dill pickles but reduce the amount of lemon juice by half and add 1 tsp sugar to the mixture so it isn't too sour.
