Mary Kay....?

Has anyone sold or is currently selling MK? A friend wants me to sell it and I'm thinking about it considering I'm only getting 5hrs a week at what was supposed to be a full time job, but I"m not sure yet. How much did you make on average at a party? Was it difficult to get going? Any advice in general about it? Thanks!

  • i personally thought i put moe money into selling it than i did making any, you do get a 50% discount on everything you order, and you sell it for full price.... but you have to buy samples and things for paries that are not discounted and to stay "active you must spend $400 every 3 months. the first few months i did well... but there is only so much makeup and creams tha people need, and every order you place there is an $8 shipping fee that comes out of your money, so lets say someone wans a lipstick $12 and thats all... you place her order, $12 for the lipstick. you make $6 off of thhat but you also have to pay $8 shipping so really your out of pocket $2.... idk it didnt work out for me but if you keep with it and know tons of ppl maybe it will be good for you?

  • I sell MK and I actually really like it. I never place an order for just a lipstick -- and technically you can charge each person $1 for shipping or so. On average at a show I make around $150-200 you just need to be VERY educated! Good luck & let me know if you have any questions.

  • I have been a consultant for 16 years and love it. Started using the product when I was 13 years old and became a consultant when I was 18 years old. Never thought this would be my full time career but I am really glad that it is. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Feel free to PM me.

  • Try Avon instead. There is no start up inventory and you get a 50% discount on everything to start your first few campaigns. You don't have to sell a minimum although you need to put in an order at least every 4 campaigns (that's like once every 2 months) or so to remain active. The prices are more affordable for customers too and you'll sell more because of it. Just go to Avon.com to sign up.

I now earn over 5K working Part Time from home. I love this business. This is ground floor opportunity. The company has been around for 20 years. It is new to the US. The results are ASTOUNDING. Dropping 3 sizes in 10 minutes. 10 ways to get paid. AWESOME!!! Let me know what you think.
