Would it make a difference...

if you invited someone as a friend at cafemom, and then after you accepted their friend invite, you saw they were a completely different religion...would this make you think twice about being their friend? BTW, it doesn't bother me, but I wonder when Christian people invite me and then see what I am(Wicca). It makes me nervous about accepting their friend invite or sending a friend invite!
And I don't want a debate about religion/preaching/bashing please! Thanks :)

  • Being a Christian we should love everybody we are all brothers and sisters in Christ! I wouldn't agree with their beliefs and if I had the opportunity I would share with them what I know to be the truth and go from there but you shouldn't turn them away because that is not what God wants. By the way what is Wicca?

  • I would hope people would accept everyone, but then again that seems to be the hardest thing people could ever do in this world. I personally will make friends with a brick wall if it will let me, lmao. I love people and talking to them and especially helping. I am not religious at all personally, so I get the debates on religion all the time. I wouldn't delete someone because of their religion or be wierded out by it. I actually haven't ever checked to see what religion people list.

  • You know, to many it does. You know I do a lot of WAH stuff on here and I'm openly and actively Pagan. I have had a number of women accept my invite and then block me within hours... One blocked me from messaging her and then stated leaving nasty messages about how dare I try to "lure her away from god" - When the fact was, I was messaging her about her WAH opportunity... I was trying to help her make money... I never mentioned religion - I try not to mix the two...

It doesn't bother me, but, it does many ladies on here...

I've even been removed from a WAH group because I wasn't Christian and my "demonic" presence was a "bad influence" on other moms... I'm not sure how advertising my business is demonic, but apparently low cost health care is very disturbing to some... LOL

  • Hotrodmama - Wicca is the largest Pagan religion in the world and one of the fastest growing as well. Wiccans believe in a God and Goddess and revere nature as sacred...

  • No, it doesnt make a difference. I like someone for who they are not their religion.

IF they start preaching at me then Id block them after saying why its gonna happen but I havent had that issue yet with religion, only those who try and get me to do their home business stuff with them or like them(kwim?)

  • I would not add a person if they were overly religious. I would be afraid of offending them with my anti-religious views and I wouldn't want to deal with their zeal, either.
