Is it ok to give a 2 1/2 month old pedialyte??

  • Check with your doctor first.... I'm not sure because of the high sodium content I know is not good for such young kidneys

  • You don't need to give it to a breastfed baby. As long as a breastfed baby can have anything by mouth it can have breastmilk.

  • If you are worried about a 2.5 month old getting dehydrated, you should be talking to the dr, not us! Is she vomiting, or diarrhea, or what?

    --I agree. If a baby has symptoms requiring pedialyte, they need to see a doctor.
