i felt a bubbly feeling were my baby is and i was wondering if they can fart or if it was my stomach or intestines doing something.

  • Lol. I dunno. They can certainly have the hiccups I don't see why they can't fart.

  • Nitrogen, methane, hydrogen and oxygen, AKA flatus, is primarily the by-product of digestion and food must be ingested for this to occur. Fetuses do not "eat" so therefore the answer is no.(ingesting amniotic fluid doesn't count as eating)

  • Pretty sure babies can't fart while in the tummy!!! LoL It is probably gas bubbles, or the baby swishing around(you didnt' say how far along you are)....

  • another reason for gas is ingesting air, and since babies are inside a giant water bubble and not even breathing air, no, they cannot fart.
