Roughly how long does it take to boli green beens?

My mom said until they're tender or ready to eat but I'm a moron when it comes to cooking..So like 20 minutes?

  • I prefer to stir-fry or roast. They turn bright green when they are ready.

  • it depends on how tender you want them too.
    we eat raw green beans as snacks.
    5 minutes will keep them crispy

  • Fresh from the garden? 20-30 minutes - but then again ours get pretty big and we do a huge pot. If I buy smaller ones from the farmer's market they don't take as long. Just start them, stir occasionally, and test one every few minutes and drain when they're how you like them.

  • 7 minutes any thing after that they get soft and I don't like them soft.
