  • 1200 I am 5'4 at 135 im currently exercising and dieting. My trainer told me that I should not consume more than 1200 cals.

  • your body only needs 300-500 more calories to support your baby. My rule: Eat when I'm hungry. Make the "healthier" choice 50% of the time:)

  • You can survive on 1200 calories a day but it's not a smart idea. It will lead to muscle loss, short change you on important nutrients, cause a major strain on your heart, and slow your metabolism. Those of us that have lost weight and kept it off did so by eating 1500 - 1700 calories a day. The average woman needs 2000 calories a day to maintain her weight.
