  • Mine was nursing 5 times/day - 3 times with meals, once for a snack, and once at bedtime.

  • My daughter was slowing down at that age due to eating more solids but I would say 5 to 6. I hope that helps. Breastfeeding is hard nice to see someone sticking to it. You do not see that very often anymore.

  • He went through a growth-spurt at 10 months and breastfed like every hour during the day and woke up twice. After his growthspurt he went back to every 1.5 - 3 hours during the day and waking once in the early AM.

As long as the baby is getting 5-6 nursing sessions always before solids and having wet diapers, it's enough.

And you can't BF them too often if your baby is trying to feed very often perhaps she/he is trying to increase your supply or is having a growth spurt or teething and it will resolve soon :)

  • Until a baby is around 12 months the majority of it's nutrition should be from breastmilk. Some babies at 10 months still nurse every 2-3 hours. Some less. It's normal for them to nurse at night.

  • At ten months...almost hourly when I was home. Then he suddenly dropped it to once a day. He conquered walking and was back to newborn frequency.
