how much sleep should a nine month old be getting?

my ds is 90% of the time asleep by 7pm and up at 5am sharp he usually naps from somewhere between 8-11 for about two hours. he used to take the same nap between 2-5 but is no longer sleeping during that time. he stays awake and talks to himself for about two and half hours and cries for about ten min. He is teething but this has been going on for almost a month. way longer than his teething issues i thought. I thought at this age they were supposed to sleep 11-12 hrs at night and two 1.5-2 hour naps.

  • THEY know how much they need; instinct governs very well. Forget what the books say...one size doesn't fit all.

Yours sleeps twice as much as mine ever did!

And now that you've published the schedule, he'll go and change it!
