How do I poach an egg? And are they any good?

Is an egg an egg? Or is a poached egg healthier than other ways of cooking?

  • You drop the egg into a pan with boiling water and wait a couple minutes for it to cook. And yes it is a healthier way to cook an egg.

  • You need to add acid to the water for you will have egg soupy mess. Here is a great poached eggs recipe.

  • Add vinegar to boiling water. My DH discovered that cracking the egg into a coffee mug or small cup and pouring it into the boiling water works best. I like poached eggs :-)
