Has anyone else ever 35-40 days between periods when you stop nursing?

With my first son I wasn't able to nurse full time so I stayed on schedule, but I nursed my baby for 8 months, ran out of milk, and now he is on the bottle. I started to have late periods about 3 months ago and its driving me nuts. Even my doctor doesn't know why I am doing this. Anyone? Help.

  • It's normal for cycle length to change. For *me* a cycle of 35-40 days *is* normal. Mine went to 28 days post-breastfeeding and I hated it. It took years till I went back to the longer cycle that I prefer.

  • Thank you! I thought I was just being abnormal. lol. I always had an ever 28-30 day cycle before and it really threw me off.
