  • My son is almost 7 months old and I bathe him every other day. Sometimes if he has an accident or spits up more than usual, then he'll get one every day. But he has mild eczema though so I try not to irritate it.

  • Almost 10 months old - almost every night now.

When she was younger it was more like every 3-4 days babies do not really get dirty until they start eating food and crawling/walking.

Also she now LOVES her bath and I think it helps relax her after a long day of play!

  • DD is 2 1/2 and I bathe her every other day (unless we go to a playspace or somewhere really germy). Her skin gets very dry, so bathing everyday would be horrible for her skin.

  • well when my oldest DD was a baby I gave her a bath every other day or every couple days until she started playing outside then I started giving her baths everyday once winter came and I was bathing her everyday I seen her skin was getting dry she is almost 5 now and I have to give her a bath everyother day cause she has dry skin. In the summer I give her a bath every day.

My 2 year old however when she was a baby I bathed her every other day until she was about 6 months old then I had to start everyday cause we had hardwood floor so her little kneees and things were always dirty no matter how much I moped. Then she also had dry skin once I found that out I had to do it every other day and just clean her up, but now at 2 she has a bath everyother day until summer then it is everyday

  • My baby is five months and I have not yet given her an immersion bath. She gets sponge bath if needed (usually during a diaper change). I don't want to dry her skin out and I don't use baby lotion (too many chemicals and they reek)! If she has a dry patch or redness I will use pure aloe or a pure oil like coconut or shea butter or cocoa butter (just a dab). I like my baby to smell like a baby...not like soap or perfume. We breastfeed so there is no sour formula smell after a spit up.

I don't think I'll ever do a bathtime "routine." When she can sit up well is likely when I'll start immersion bathing, and then only when needed.

  • My son just turned 4 months yesterday. He gets a bath usually every other day. It's become a routine. I want him to get use to bathing every other day, because it's a real pain to convince a boy they need a bath as they get older is what my husband saids.
