My dryer has a burning plastic smell!

My dryer has a burning plastic smell! I was running it all morning...and had a big load in there...it's not totally dry...but I took it out and am waiting for it to cool down...cause it is hot.

What could that smell be?

  • Well, check the clothes for any melted plastic, then check the cord, the lint trap, etc (everything you can see without taking it apart). If you can't find anything, you might want to call a professional.

If you run it again, try using a lower heat setting - it won't hurt!
