Dept of Homeland Security: Ft Hood massacre an act of "violent Islamic terrorism."

"Violent Islamic terrorism ... was part and parcel of the Ft. Hood killings," Napolitano told the Senate Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday morning. "There is violent Islamic terrorism, be it Al Qaeda in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen or anywhere else, [and] that is indeed a major focus of this department and its efforts."

  • Meh. I think it was just one guy with internal conflicts. He objected but was going to be deported anyway, so he freaked out.

  • Internal conflicts? LOL He didn't just freak out. He planned this, meaning it was premeditated.

What do you mean deported? He was a US citizen.

    OP, it's about freaking time!

  • Premeditated doesn't mean that it wasn't a freak-out. Obviously he felt he was doing what he thought he had to do to get across. It was stupid and sick, and I hope he fries for it...I just don't think of it as "terrorism."
