When did your OB start "measuring you"

I'm 28 weeks pregnant with our second. My (new) OB has never done any sort of "feeling around on the outside of my belly" or measuring the baby, it seems like with my first they did that long ago?

  • Hmmmm, that makes me concerned....I wonder why they would chose not to? I guess I'm going to have to ask at my next appt!

  • The dr I had with my son did it from day 1...the dr I go to now started about 20 weeks or so. Every doctor is different. Ask them if you want them to measure you. =)

  • My midwife has always felt around the belly at every appointment/listened to the heartbeat. At my last appointment (almost 25 weeks at that point) is when she took out the tape measure and started measuring my belly.
