The only thing that has ever worked for me was lots and lots of exercise and eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies while watching my calories. It was a lifestyle change rather than a diet. If I fall off the wagon even for awhile, the weight seems to come back pretty quickly. I've finally got my meds right (we couldn't get my dose right for a long time), and that has also helped a lot. But I know I have to work a lot harder than I did before I had hypothyroidism.
